Coronet Theatre, Auditorium

Join us for a night of comedy with a new rising star in the Italian and international stand-up scene.

What do you discover when you decide to leave the comfort of your sofa in Italy to become a foreigner in the UK, just as the UK decides to leave Europe? Francesco De Carlo takes us on a hilarious and inspiring journey through love, family, populism, in a wonderful mixture of personal and political stories. Contains accent!

This performance will be in English.

Running time: 60 minutes.

Francesco De Carlo

left a job at the European Parliament to become a radio host, and is now at the forefront of a new generation of European stand up comedians who also perform in English. In Italy, his series Tutta colpa della Brexit (Blame it on Brexit) was broadcast by national tv channel RAI 3, while his book La mia Brexit was published by Bompiani in 2019. In the UK, he has taken his shows to Edinburgh Fringe and Soho Theatre; he has performed in English in over 15 countries, appeared on Netflix, Dave and BBC2, and toured with (among others) Tommy Tiernan, Dylan Moran, and Eddie Izzard.
